Cécile Dedieu receives a Bourse de mobilité Québec-France Sophie Germain to complete an internship at Université Catholique de Lyon

The laboratory is pleased to highlight the recent international mobility internship completed by Cécile Dedieu, a doctoral student in organic synthesis. Cécile has returned from a research internship at the École Supérieure de Biologie, Biochimie et Biotechnologies (ESTBB) of the Université Catholique de Lyon (UCLy) from June 1st to July 1st, 2026, working with Dr. Fanny Odet and Dr. Thanh-Nhat Pham.

This mobility was made possible thanks to the awarding of the Sophie Germain Québec-France Mobility Grant, granted by the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) and the Consulat Général de France à Québec (CGF) . The project aimed to develop a new collaboration between UQAR and UCLy around the study of the biological potential of several extracts and molecules from our laboratory, in particular their activity towards tyrosinase, a key enzyme involved in melanin production.

During her stay, Cécile was able to develop new skills in biochemistry and cell biology, complementing her training in organic synthesis, through various enzymatic and cellular assays. This experience thus contributes to strengthening scientific ties between Quebec and France and opens new perspectives for the laboratory's future work.
