Cardinal Lab at BÉNÉFIQ 2025

The BÉNÉFIQ 2025 Congress, a key event for stakeholders in the food, bio-food, and health sectors was held on November 5th and 6th at the Québec City Cruise Terminal. This edition marked the15th anniversary of BÉNÉFIQ and the 25th anniversary of INAF (Université Laval). The Cardinal Lab was well represented with poster presentations form three lab members.

Sarah Kefil and Élise Heinen presented their project focusing on the valorization of microalgae, while Frédéric Morin presented his work on the synthesis of the two enantiomers of Québecol, a bioactive natural product derived from maple syrup.

Congratulations to Élise, Sarah and Frédéric whose contributions demonstrate the commitment of the Cardinal Lab in the field of food science.
